Responsible use policy

builder77 makes it easy to build almost anything. This policy describes the few things you must never build — and what happens if someone does.

Last updated: October 1, 2026

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everything you create, host or send with builder77, including prompts, generated apps, data stored in apps and emails sent through m77.email. When in doubt, ask yourself: would the people using this app feel deceived or harmed if they knew what it really does? If yes, don't build it.

Don't build these

1. Phishing and credential theft

  • Login pages, forms or emails that imitate a bank, email provider, social network, government agency or any other service you don't own.
  • Apps that collect passwords, one-time codes, card numbers or other sensitive details under false pretenses.
  • “Account verification”, “prize claim” or “security alert” pages designed to trick people.

2. Impersonation

  • Apps or sites that pretend to be, or to be endorsed by, a real person, brand or organization without permission.
  • Using someone else's logo, name or likeness in a way that could confuse people about who runs the app.
  • Fake reviews, fake testimonials or fabricated records presented as genuine.

Parody, commentary and clearly labeled fan projects are fine when nobody could reasonably be misled.

3. Malware and attacks

  • Code that installs, distributes or links to malware, spyware, ransomware or cryptominers.
  • Tools built to attack, scan without permission, scrape in violation of terms, or overload other systems (including DDoS).
  • Attempts to break out of the app sandbox, access other apps' data, or bypass builder77's rate limits and security controls.

4. Illegal content and activity

  • Child sexual abuse material or any content that sexualizes minors. We report this to the relevant authorities.
  • Sales of illegal goods or services, including drugs, weapons and stolen data.
  • Content that infringes copyrights, trademarks or other intellectual property rights.
  • Facilitating fraud, money laundering, unlicensed gambling or other illegal financial activity.

5. Deceptive or manipulative apps

  • Scams, pyramid schemes, fake shops or “get rich quick” offers.
  • Apps that hide their real purpose, secretly collect data, or track people without their knowledge.
  • Misleading health, medical or financial claims that could cause real harm.
  • Disinformation intended to deceive people about elections, public health or emergencies.

6. Harm to people

  • Harassment, bullying, threats, doxxing or stalking tools.
  • Content that promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm or hatred against people based on protected characteristics.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery or sexual content involving real people without consent.

7. Spam and abuse of features

  • Sending unsolicited bulk email or messages through m77.email.
  • Creating multiple accounts to farm free credits or referral bonuses.
  • Reselling access to builder77 AI or infrastructure as a generic proxy.

Handle personal data with care

If your app collects personal information, you are responsible for it. At minimum:

  • Only collect what your app genuinely needs, and tell people why.
  • Require sign-in (m77.auth) for personal data and show users only their own records ({ mine: true }).
  • Don't store highly sensitive data (such as government IDs, full card numbers or health records) unless you have the legal basis and safeguards to do so.
  • Follow the privacy laws that apply to your users.

AI-generated content

  • Don't use AI features to generate content that this policy prohibits.
  • Be transparent when people are talking to an AI inside your app, and review AI output that could affect people's health, money or rights.

How we enforce this policy

We use automated signals and reports from the community to find violations. Depending on severity, we may warn you, unpublish an app, remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate your account, and — where legally required or where people are at risk — notify law enforcement. Serious violations such as phishing, malware or child abuse material lead to immediate removal without notice.

If you believe we made a mistake, reply to the notice you received or write to us through the contact form and we'll review it.

Report a problem

Found an app on builder77 that breaks these rules? Please report it or use the contact form. To report a security vulnerability in builder77 itself, use the contact form (topic: Security).
